Pet friendly Charleston

Your Pup Can be a Ghost Hunter in Charleston, S.C.

Charleston, S.C. has always been a favorite spot for a weekend getaway. When we read on Rover.com Charleston was one of America’s Most Dog-Friendly Cities we packed up the pups for a weekend adventure.

Our first stop was to check in to the hotel. Starwood’s Aloft hotels are dog friendly and welcomed Lacey and Clayton with a treat bag.

After a long car ride, Clayton needs a nap.

The first adventure for the weekend was a Ghost Walk through downtown Charleston. Many of the Ghost Walks are pup friendly. We selected the Old Charleston Ghost Tour. Our guide, Mike Brown was very knowledgable and we were not disappointed. The tour started with the story of Charleston’s most infamous tale of Lavinia Fisher and included the Poogan’s Porch ghosts – Chloe and Elizabeth. Tales of the “Blood Book” on display at the Charleston Library Society and duels in Bloody Alley were included in the tour. Charleston Ghost Tours are a favorite for us and it seems we hear a new story each time.

Day One was fun but come back to see what adventure awaits for Day Two when we visit Magnolia Plantation and take a Sunset Boat Cruise.
